Friends

When I thought I had heard it all, I was jolted to read that there were nearly 700 “Friends of…” organizations operating in the United States raising billions of dollars every year for Israel.[1].  Their influence is not limited to fund raising. They bribe politicians, intimidate the media and threaten academia.  They  exaggerate  the pain of Palestinian resistance and insist that Israel is the innocent victim. No matter what happens, the Palestinians are to blame.

One such organization calling itself  “Friends of the Israel Defense Forces”  states that their job is to look after the (Israeli Defense Forces) IDF:

True to that motto, the money this ‘charity’ raises benefits exclusively the soldiers of a foreign country that has not fought a war longer than 33 days in 40 years and whose primary duties have been to protect Israel’s illegal settlements, demolish Palestinian homes, make the lives of ordinary Palestinians miserable, and suppress Palestinian resistance to its ongoing ethnic cleansing by whatever means necessary.[2]

The irony of this friendship is that it actually does more harm than good. The old AA adage, “Friends don’t let friends drive drunk,” makes my point.  By any measure, Israel is drunk with its own arrogance, power and sense of importance. Its future as a democratic, Jewish only state is little more than an impossible dream in desperate need of an honest friend to lift up the sober truth. The world will accept brutality and look the other way in face of injustice, but not genocide.

On the other side of the coin. In spite of what Golda Meir announced, the Palestinians exist and they are growing. They also have friends. Millions of friends. I know because I am one of them.

  1. ...not only handed over the keys but put the absinthe in the Passover wine. Israel is officially only a tool, like the US military...and a ghetto in spite of its wonderful achievements and spunky people.

Remember the Liberty! Almost Sunk by Treason on the High Seas -- Pub. Date.: May 19, 2017

One of the most explosive and hidden secrets in U.S. history – in a new account that examines the background of the extensive pre-planning that led to the June 8, 1967 Israeli attack on the USS Liberty -- the stunning reasons for the fifty year old mysteries of the cause of that attack are finally revealed: Remember the Liberty! explores how a sitting U.S. president collaborated with Israeli leaders in the fomentation of a war between them and their Arab neighbors and how those plans included a top-secret false-flag plot for Israel to attack the ship as a pretext for President Lyndon Johnson to join Israel in the Six Day War. It was a war that would ensure a victory for Israel, and include the acquisition of additional land, while ensuring another "landslide election" win for Johnson. After the botched plan was executed, the ship refused to sink even after being hit by a torpedo, leading the attack to be cancelled and a massive cover-up invoked, including severe threats for the crew members to "keep their lips sealed." The fact that the ship did not sink not only saved the world from nuclear conflagration but caused Johnson to have to cancel his plans for re-election the following year. The book also, uniquely, describes how Lyndon Johnson's amalgamation of psychological issues led to his highly irrational behavior throughout the planning and execution of the ensuing disaster, a key point that has never previously been factored in to the matrix, without which in can never be understood. That is arguably the very reason it remains the enigmatic "most explosive and hidden secret" in the annals of U.S. Navy history.

  3. G'day Thomas,

    https://poxamerikana.com/2016/08/25/a-clean-break-from-israel-what-america-needs-most/

A heads up. I'm not sure if you’ve seen this piece I wrote/published last year (see link above). Either way, if/when you get a chance have a look. I've reposted it again on both my FB pages.

Why the repost? One catalyst for my decision was US ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley's grandstanding at the 2017 AIPAC Conference over criticism of Israel and her attempts to shut down such censure at the UN. This is the thin edge of the wedge - where Israel seeks to deligitimise then curtail authentic debate and criticism across the board about its foreign policies. No other country might imagine they could pursue such blatant goals and get away with it.

There was also the recent incident where Omar Barghouti, the co-founder of the BDS movement, was arrested in Israel for tax evasion. These and various other antics it would appear are increasingly becoming the de rigeuer response of Israel and its supporters inside and outside the U.S. It seems the backlash to the backlash is in full swing.

I'm also reposting this earlier essay as a prelude to my next article*. This new in-depth piece will recall the attempted sinking of the USS Liberty by Israel (& the subsequent cover up), and the Six Day War between Israel and Egypt. It will attempt to revisit these historical episodes through the prism of the larger, more contemporary issues associated with Israel's relationship with the US -- and the involvement of both countries in events unfolding in and across the Greater Middle East -- which the article herein attempted to showcase.

FYI, I'm working closely with the author of a forthcoming new book on these topics. I believe this book will provide the definitive account of this lamentable, shameful tragedy. Needless to say, the new piece will reference -- and include extracts from -- this new book. Best, GM.

*PS. The new piece is now published. Will forward in a separate message to follow.

  5. There is a reason why the entire world turns on Israel, a reason why Jesus has to return for the saints and to save Israel from total destruction.
The Lord said that not all who say they are Israel are Israel: Only God can fathom the Chimera of modern-day Israel, a mish-mash of true Semites, Ashkenazim, etc.- bound together as a hapless collection of nihilistic Sadducees. I grew up with these people in Boston, Massachusetts.
    Not a fun gang.
Their current stranglehold on the US, in the guise of the neocon 'movement,' is just the latest in their quest to push the bounds of delighting in evil.
Pray for the likes of Lindsey Graham and other lost souls in our congress, that the Lord open their eyes, especially to the heresies, which have led them to foment war against openly avowed Christian democratic
    Russia.

    1. Actually Judaism is based on the Pharisees. "The Sadducees disappeared around 70 A.D., after the destruction of the Second Temple. None of the writings of the Sadducees has survived, so the little we know about them comes from their Pharisaic opponents."
"The most important of the three were the Pharisees because they are the spiritual fathers of modern Judaism. Their main distinguishing characteristic was a belief in an Oral Law that God gave to Moses at Sinai along with the Torah. The Torah, or Written Law, was akin to the U.S. Constitution in the sense that it set down a series of laws that were open to interpretation. The Pharisees believed that God also gave Moses the knowledge of what these laws meant and how they should be applied. This oral tradition was codified and written down roughly three centuries later in what is known as the Talmud.'

While many believe that the Torah is
      the Holy Book of today's
Jewish religion, in reality it is the Talmud. The site below is a great site to learn about the Talmud.

The propaganda machine of the USG
pushes the fear of Sharia Law. However, it is not Sharia that needs to be feared, it is The Noahide Laws.
      At least for Christians.
